Patrick Russell, Founder
Patrick Russell, has worked in the software industry for over 30 years, and has been a developer, successful entrepreneur, advisor, project manager, and practice manager. He is first and foremost a consummate Software Engineer.
Over the years Mr. Russell has been able to solve very difficult, sometimes seemingly impossible problems in software. His early background was the development of robotic and motion control systems for industry. Since then, he has had extensive and successful career, meeting many challenges, resolving issues others could not – in the architecture, design, management, and development of both shrink-wrapped products, and client-server and three-tiered software solutions for the businesses and organizations.
Mr. Russell’s technological experience spans a spectrum of industries, and includes consulting work at many of the Fortune 1000 as well as many other well-known companies and organizations. He also has a financial background from two years as Financial Planning Analyst in a nationally acclaimed financial planning practice.
His firsthand experience with Workflow applications has shown him the extraordinarily high success rate of these projects in meeting time and budget requirements and delivering exceptional ROIs. He has published a book, The Tech Advisor: A Guide to Better Software Selection and Implementation Decisions for Business Managers (paperback and Kindle), and a Kindle book entitled Workflow 101: A Primer on the Most Powerful Technique Available For Streamlining Business Process.
Mr. Russell also has experience organizing, authoring, and presenting executive training and briefings. He has also written extensive product and software documentation and technical and user manuals, and has put on training for end-users in a classroom setting. He was President of the Institute of Management Consultants, San Diego Chapter, 2011 and 2012.
In recent years he worked in software architecture, design, and development, with technologies such as NVIDIA CUDA, NET C#, Elasticsearch, Azure, and SQL Server.
Catherine Christopher, DC, Founder and CEO
Catherine Christopher has had a fascinating career. She was one of the first criminal profilers and helped develop many of the approaches that are now standard in higher levels of law enforcement. Later she became a licensed chiropractor in New York State, and had a successful practice for many years, changing the lives of many people for the better.
When she started Pabo Beach, she initially spearheaded software research into patterns in stocks, options, and futures. In recent years she has shifted focus to astronomical and astrometeorological research. She has designed a significant body of software, that provides building blocks for continued development. The software introduces a variety of proprietary algorithms and many sophisticated techniques and analyses not found anywhere else. It sources from various mathematical methods as well as the Swiss Ephemeris (an API based on the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Ephemeris). Her plan is to make this software more globally accessible and available both to present day experts, and to a new generation of researchers – ideally as a non-profit initiative.
